The highly-anticipated Super American Circus at Pacific Islands Club Guam officially opened its doors to the public this evening to a crowd of more than 500 people. The circus, now a permanent attraction in the heart of Tumon Bay, is available for all to enjoy.
“The Super American Circus is an exciting show for kids of all ages and where everyone in the family, from grandparents to grandchildren, can enjoy being entertained by world-class performers,” said Ben Ferguson, general manager of PIC Guam. “We have completely transformed the Pacific Pavilion into a circus big top and are thrilled for the community to experience the magic and wonder of the circus.”
The all-new performance line-up features 14 circus professionals who are now stationed on Guam. Oohs and aahs filled the big top as the audience marveled at beautiful aerialists magnificently flying high above the circus ring. Giggles and laughter propelled Mario the Clown to have some fun with the audience. Jaws dropped as the High Flying Motorcycle revved above on a highwire and motorcycles whizzed around in the Globe of Danger.
“Our goal for the circus is to always leave the people wanting more,” said Cornell “Tuffy” Nicholas, the show’s producer. “The color and pageantry of the circus are dynamic, and it’s something that the people of Guam have never seen before. It’s fun. It’s exciting. Everyone needs to see it.”
In addition to the spectacular performances, families treated themselves at the concessions stand to a wide range of traditional circus treats such as popcorn, cotton candy, sno cones, nachos, hotdogs, and soda drinks. Patrons also visited the novelty pop-up shop to buy exclusive merchandise such as clothing, toys, collectible items, and more.
Ticket prices are based on ringside, VIP preferred and preferred seating types. Prices for preferred seating start at $45 for adults and $23 for children. VIP preferred seating starts at $50 per adult and $25 per child. Ringside seats for adults and children are also available starting at $65.
The circus offers an evening show on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 7:30 p.m. Two shows are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The Super American Circus at PIC, a traditional circus with a modern twist, is a fast-paced 90-minute show that features professional performers from around the globe experienced in thrilling audiences of all ages.
