Latest hospital census shows narrowing gap between vaxxed and unvaxxed



The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services today reported a total of 29 hospital admissions at the Guam Memorial Hospital and Guam Regional Medical City.


Of this total, 18 are unvaccinated, which means 11 of those hospitalized a vaccinated. Three are in ICU.

Today, DPHSS reported a preliminary case count of 84 new cases of Covid-19 from 1,002 specimens analyzed on Aug. 28.


Additional results are pending analysis and submission from other clinics and will be reported on Monday, Aug. 30. To date, there have been a total of 10,239 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 145 deaths, 1,270 cases in active isolation and 8,824 not in active isolation. As of August 27, the CAR Score is 30.
