Jollibee to open second Guam outlet

By Pacific Island Times News Staff

Jollibee, the Philippines’ largest fast-food brand, will open its second location on Guam at the Agana Shopping Center on June 27.

The Guam franchise, owned by Joseph Chua, is expanding its presence five years since it entered the island’s booming fast-food market, opening its first outlet at the Micronesia Mall premises in Dededo in 2019.

Jollibee, the flagship global brand within the Philippines’ Jollibee Group, was founded in 1978. According to the corporate website, the brand has since opened 1,668 locations across 17 countries as of January 2024.

Among its bestsellers include Yumburger, Chicken Joy, sweet spaghetti, and the peach mango pie.

According to Brand Finance, an international brand valuation agency, Jollibee’s global rank has risen from 20th to 17th this year, with its brand value surging to $2.3 billion.

On Guam, Jollibee’s main competitors include McDonald's, Burger King and KFC.
