Guam's new shopping center set to open this month

The Village of Donki, a new shopping and dining center in Tamuning, will open on April 25, pioneering Japan's first Don Don Donki venture on U.S. soil.


"Don Don Donki Village promises an unparalleled shopping experience, offering a diverse array of products tailored to the local Guam community," according to its developer Pan Pacific Retail Management (Guam), a subsidiary of Pan Pacific International Holdings Group.


"From Japanese delicacies to American groceries, and a dedicated corner for bulk sales, the store aims to cater to the varied preferences of its customers. Additionally, fans of Japanese pop culture can indulge in a captivating selection of character goods, adding an extra layer of excitement to their shopping spree," Pan Pacific said.

The shopping complex, located at the order of Marine Corps Drive and Airport Road, houses 13 business tenants including the popular Japanese discount retail store Don Don Donki and Waka Sakura sushi restaurant.


"The mall showcases a vibrant mix of Japanese, South Korean and local Guam businesses, ensuring an enriching experience for visitors and residents alike," Pan Pacific said.


"We are thrilled to introduce the first 'Don Don Donki' store in the United States as part of the expansive 'Village of Donki,'" said Makoto Hanawa, a representative of Pan Pacific Retail Management (Guam). "With its vast assortment of products and unique shopping environment, we are confident that 'Don Don Donki Village will quickly become a beloved destination for locals and tourists." 


Don Don Donki will feature a wide selection of Japanese meats, fruits and baked goods, including specialty items unique to Guam. Visitors can also explore limited-edition character goods and collaboration merchandise, making souvenir shopping an unforgettable experience, Pan Pacific said.


The shopping center sits on 247,000 square feet of sales floor area and 1.170 parking spots.


Pan Pacific International Holdings Corp.'s global portfolio also includes stores in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Macau.
