(Press Release) Atkins Kroll is proud to launch the all-new, completely redesigned fifth-generation 2023 Lexus RX. Praised for years for its exceptional design, lush interior and keen practicality, the RX brings a multitude of new features that are sure to delight Guam’s drivers.
“We at AK are especially excited to introduce the all-new Lexus RX 350. Blending functionality with human emotion is Lexus’ specialty and this latest model is truly a product of that trademark," said Tom Mazzei, Atkins Kroll sales director.
"The RX is not just a means to take you from A to B but rather an instrument that delivers a gratifying experience with every drive. With several trims to choose from, the RX caters to different demographics with varying preferences, making this luxury SUV a refreshingly versatile vehicle for our island,”
The RX makes a striking yet graceful impression with its seamless exterior design. Its sporty spindle grille and integrated jewel-like headlamps blend effortlessly into the RX’s face while its rear is adorned with updated Lexus badging and an L-shaped light bar lamp for a modern and cohesive appearance.
The RX comes standard with 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with available 21-inch 20-spoke alloy wheels with a dark gray metallic finish. Available colors include Eminent White Pearl, Caviar and Iridium.
Known for its impeccable detail, Lexus does not disappoint with the RX’s refreshing new interior. Available ambient lighting illuminates a sleek dashboard with a generously sized center display.
Masterfully built with a driver-centric design, the RX’s steering wheel controls, available color head-up display and Lexus Memory System for the driver’s seat and side mirrors are just a few conveniences that cater directly to the driver’s needs.
Also available in the Luxury and F Sport models is multi-zone climate control with an interior air filter and smog-sensing automatic recirculation mode. Drivers and passengers can enjoy a wireless charger and an available digital rearview mirror for added visibility.
Equipped with the most thorough safety system ever integrated into a Lexus, the new RX brings more safety features than the outgoing model year with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. Some highlights include Lexus’ Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Intersection Support which uses the RX’s radar and camera to detect oncoming vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians even while turning at an intersection.
Upon sensing a possible frontal collision, the RX will automatically slow and if needed, come to a complete stop. Also improved is the All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management. This intelligent feature keeps the RX moving at a safe, preset speed and distance from nearby vehicles and automatically reduces speed when driving along curves and corners.
Built on the New Global Architecture (GA-K) platform, the RX provides a lower center of gravity as well as ideal weight distribution. The many improvements that come with the new platform include more consistent suspension, more legroom, added cargo space and a lowered back door trim to decrease loading height. Further, now up to 198 pounds lighter and with an expanded wheelbase, the RX delivers a quieter, more comfortable and more stable ride.
Lexus now offers all-new powertrains with its RX line. The standard 2.4-liter turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder engine with 8-speed automatic transmission delivers 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque with an estimated 25 mpg combined. Also available with the RX 350h AWD is the 2.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder engine with Lexus Hybrid Electric Drive that delivers 246 horsepower and 233 pound-feet of torque. Lexus estimates a combined 33 mpg for this trim.
“The RX 350 continues to be a popular choice globally and on Guam, it is no different. As our most sought-after Lexus model, many of the new RX units that have arrived are pre-sold so we encourage those interested to shop online today at AKGuam.com or come see us in the showroom and take a test drive. They’ll be delighted that they did,” said Mazzei.
First introduced in 1998, the RX or “Radiant Crossover” made history as the first luxury crossover ever produced and today is Lexus’ best-selling SUV averaging over 97,000 sales per year in the US.
The RX’s popularity is a testament to the intricacy of Lexus craftsmanship. From its birth to its latest iteration, the RX’s unique design is founded on the Japanese expression, “omotenashi,” which encompasses the essence of hospitality in terms of anticipating customers’ needs as well as providing the highest quality products possible.
