Steven Velasquez is the newest member of the Community First Guam Federal Credit Union's senior management team,
Velasquez has been appointed as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Community First.
Velasquez joined Community First from Los Angeles in April 2024 as a Temporary Consultant for the Accounting Department. Velasquez brings over 20 years of accounting, consultation, and auditing experience in the Credit Union Industry.
“I’m incredibly humbled by this announcement; touched and honored to be your next SVP-CFO at Community First Guam FCU, which comes with huge responsibilities, but I don’t shy away from the challenge,” said Velasquez.
“None of this would be possible without the support of a dynamic CEO, Mr. Cruz, the entire management team, the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Committee, and the entire staff that I’m fortunate to be surrounded by. In closing, thank you all for believing in me and I will not disappoint. So much promise and resolve will come our way through hard work, dedication, and passion, together as one," he added.
