Kolonia, Pohnpei--The Dr. Eliuel K. Pretrick Memorial Scholarship Committee has announced the deadline of June 1, 2018 for applications for the $10,000 scholarship that is awarded annually to one FSM citizen who wishes to attend a four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree in physical education or a sport-related field.
Named for the former Secretary of the FSM National Government Department of Health, Education and Social Affairs and the founding President of the FSM National Olympic Committee, the scholarship is for a 3rd or 4th year student for the school year 2018/2019, and will be awarded on June 15, 2018.
Applicants must be citizens of the Federated States of Micronesia; have completed an Associate’s Degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale), and be a currently-enrolled college student. Applicants must also have been accepted for admission as a full-time student into an accredited four-year institution, majoring in Physical Education or Sport Administration.
