“I am encouraged that Congress passed this three week funding measure to reopen the federal government. I hope Republican leaders will use this time to work with Democrats and honor their commitment to resolve longstanding issues, including passing legislation to give certainty to the 800,000 young DREAMers in our country. I also hope that Congress will come to agreement on a long-term, bipartisan spending bill for the remainder of the fiscal year. We must give our military and the federal agencies that serve the American people the certainty and direction they need to make long-term budget decisions.”
