Headliner illusionists Chris and Ryan Zubrick, who perform at Guam's SandCastle venue, have received the Merlin Award for "Best Family Magic Show," from the International Magicians Society. It's described as the industry's most prestigious honor.
Society Chair and CEO Tony Hassini traveled to Guam to make the presentation and described the Zubrick show as "the gold standard in magic and family entertainment." The present show opened at the SandCastle in Tumon in 2016.
The Merlin Award is based on talent, showmanship, originality, skill and the ability to entertain under any circumstances. It's been compared to the Oscar awards. Previous recipients include Criss Angel, Siegfried & Roy, Penn & Teller, Doug Henning and David Copperfield.
