The Judiciary of Guam held a defensive tactics training event for Probation officers and court marshals. Mindful of potential threats in and around island courts, the judicial law enforcement officers worked on hand-to-hand knife defense and were instructed on the use of batons and ‘pepper spray.’

“This is an important part of our jobs in the Judiciary,” said training officer and Deputy Marshal Vince Naputi. “We must use every resource we have to stay current on advances in tactical training to better protect our judicial officers and to address the changing environment of the probation clients we serve each and every day.”
