Training at FDM with a U.S. Air Force B52G
In a rather spare news release, COMNAVMAR has informed the public that "the military" will conduct "training" at FDM, the bombing range island in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
It would be interesting to know whether that would be the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Air Force or the U.S. Army. Or to be informed as to the nature of said training.
At any rate, the news release says the training at FDM will be July 5 from 2-9 p.m.
COMNAVMAR recommends that the general public, fishermen and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.
The general location of the training at Farallon de Medinilla will be in a 12-nautical mile radius of the island. FDM, located in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, supports aircrew combat readiness training.
