Guam Chamber of Commerce elects new board directors

Secretary-Treasurer Joe Arnett, Vice Chairman Jim Herbert and Chairman Bobby Shringi

Bobby Shringi, sales & marketing manager at Moylan's Insurance Underwriters Inc. was elected chair of the Guam Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors for 2017 administrative year.

Jim Herbert, general manager at Triple J Five Star Wholesale Foods Inc. was elected vice chair; and Joe Arnett, senior advisor at Deloitte & Touche, LLP was re-elected secretary-treasurer.

"The Guam Chamber Board has unanimously elected a diverse group of industry professionals dedicated to advancing the general welfare of our membership and the economic well-being of our island community," said Catherine Castro, President of the Guam Chamber of Commerce. "We are excited to work on our plan of action for the year and we look forward to working with our new Executive Committee and Chamber Board Directors."

Immediate Past Chairwoman Laura-Lynn Dacanay, Vice President 3D Rentals, Special Executive Committee Member Robert Salas, President, Landscape Management Systems, Inc., and, Guam Chamber of Commerce President Catherine Castro will join Shringi, Herbert and Arnett to comprise the Executive Committee effective Jan. 18.
